SF Adventures: Federal Reserve Bank - FULL

When: April 16, 2019 - 9:30am to 11:00am

Explore the Nation’s Central Bank…not as boring as it sounds!

Have you ever noticed the whimsical exhibits in the lobby of the Federal Reserve on Market Street? Do you know what the Federal Reserve actually does? Would you like to see the most extensive collection of rare and valuable antique currency in the country including the Grand Watermelon Note of 1890 (Bet you’ve never seen that one!)?  Learn how the Fed supervises and regulates banks and about its significant role in monetary policy.  The tour is “hands on” and “visually engaging”…..no textbook needed and no tests!

Individual tours are no longer available to the public, so this is a great opportunity to meet other OLLI members while learning something new.  We have reserved a private 90 minute tour on Tuesday April 16 beginning at 9:30AM.  The tour location is ADA accessible....no excuses.  We need at least 15 members (maximum of 30) to make this happen, so please RSVP to OLI at olli@sfsu.edu if you are interested in attending. You will be connected with the member coordinator, Anne Drazen, who will reconfirm this with you in mid-March to insure that we have the requisite number of attendees.

Hope you’ll be able to join us!
