Our Big Move

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at San Francisco State will be moving to the main San Francisco State campus in the Spring of 2026 with our first full session of classes during the Summer Session, July 6 – August 14. Zoom classes will continue, as will Interest Group meetings, OLLI Plus talks, bi-annual issues of our literary journal, Vistas & Byways, and Osher Online offerings. San Francisco State’s lease at 160 Spear Street is up June 30, 2026.

Coming sessions can be found on our website under the drop down for Courses.

Questions and concerns may be sent to olli@sfsu.edu or 415-338-OLLI (6554).

Our New Home

For the first time, OLLI will have a “center” where the program will live and thrive into the future. We will be located in HUM 503 in the Humanities Building on Tapia and Font, just off of Holloway Ave on the southwest side of campus. We will also have exclusive use of HUM 587. Our large classroom will be HUM294, and a smaller classroom to be determined.

Open Houses and Tours

Three Open Houses and Tours will be offered in early 2026. One gathering will be on April 7, 2026 as well as two other dates TBD.

Parking

There is some street parking as well as parking lots. The main parking lot is Lot 20 which is on State Drive off Lake Merced Blvd.

  • With a 25% city tax, parking costs $6.52 for up to 2 hours or $10 on a parking app. We are working with Parking and Transportation at SFSU to make this process as seamless as possible.
  • Guest Parking
  • As stated above we are working with DPRC (Disability Programs and Resource Center) about campus carts running on a loop to transport people from the main parking lot.

Disability and Programs Resource Center

The Disability Programs and Resource Center (DPRC) collaborates with SF State's diverse community to ensure that all aspects of campus life — learning, working and living — are universally accessible. DPRC runs Campus Carts which can be an option for getting around campus. We are working with them about the possibility of running carts on a loop.
