Bay Area OLLI day at The Exploratorium

Friday, October 24, 2014 - 09:30 to 16:00

Join OLLIs from around the Bay Area for a great day out at one of our local treasures.

Start off at 9:30am with coffee and mingling with other OLLI students from around the Bay Area, then for an OLLI only lecture by faculty from The Exploratorium followed by workshops/ and or tours on a space available basis.  Bring your own lunch or plan to eat at one of the on site cafes.

HOT OFF THE PRESS – the Full Spectrum Science lecture at 10:00am will be on

 The Science of Science Fiction

Science fiction has predicted many things. Some have come true (think touch screens, submarines, bionic limbs), others, not so much—or at least, not yet. If you’ve ever wondered where your flying car or rocket belt is, or why you don’t yet have a robot servant, find out at Full-Spectrum Science.

To participate – get your senior priced tickets at The Exploratorium but email OLLI@sfsu.edu to get on the list for the lecture. Buy your tickets in advance at  http://www.exploratorium.edu/visit/tickets
