10:45AM - shuttle pickup at Colma BART
10:50 am - Arrive by to CHECK IN at the Main Office/Lobby on the west side of El Camino Real.
11:00 am – 12:15 pm Main Tour is through the East Side Gardens but if you want to explore further, the trolley will take you to more places, ending at 1:00 pm). Please arrive by

Please join OLLI members for a tour of the Cypress Lawn Cemetery which began in 1892. Their historic grounds are home to arboretums, century old chapels, beautiful stained glass, lakes, fountains, gardens and the final resting place of many notable Californians including Charles DeYoung, Adolph & Alma Spreckels, Lillie Hitchcock Coit, Frances “Lefty” O’Doul and dozens more.
A free box lunch is provided!
Bonus - For every OLLI member who attends, OLLI will receive a donation of $25.00! (i.e. If 15 OLLI members take the tour then OLLI will receive a donation of $375.00). After the tour, there will be a 5-minute presentation on end of life, pre-planning (sales pitch).
From the Colma BART Station
* Cypress Lawn will pick up folks from the Colma BART station between 10:45 -10:50 am. They will also take anyone who is riding BART back to the station after the tour. When you RSVP, please indicate if you need a ride from BART.
* Cypress Lawn is an easy, flat 1.1 mile walk along El Camino Real (approximately 20 minutes).
* SamTrans Route ECR runs about every 20 minutes along El Camino Real from the Daly City and Colma BART Stations. It stops in front of the Cypress Lawn main office – a 5 minute bus ride from Colma BART. It is the southbound stop after Serramonte Boulevard.
