When: March 21, 2018 (All day) to March 22, 2018 (All day)

2 One Day Workshops - $60 each

Mar. 21, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Val Lewton & The Poetry of Horror: During the 1940s, RKO Pictures created some of the most radically inventive B pictures to emerge from Hollywood. One of the primary reasons for this was Val Lewton, a producer of low-budget horror films that eschewed overt and obvious "horror tropes" in favor of suggestive atmosphere and eerie sound design, creating a strange nocturnal world that mesmerized audiences for almost an entire decade.

Mar. 22, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hollywood Before the Code: Sex, Drugs, and…Murder!!: From the advent of talkies to mid-1934--Hollywood films enjoyed an incredible period of freedom from many of the constraints of censorship. The three films will ably encompass the wild and woolly realm of "Pre-Code Hollywood!"

Registration will be open soon.
