Norman Scott, Retired Director of Advanced Technology, Laser Electro Optic Systems 

The presentation will include pictures and descriptions of the senor systems used on the U-2 as they evolved over the life of the aircraft.  Initially the primary mission of the U-2 was to take pictures over the USSR during the Cold War.  In the mid-1970s, during the Viet Nam era, the mission shifted to Signals Intelligence to support tactical operations. Lt. Col. Scott was involved in that new mission and the definition of the new systems.

Programs are held in the Rosa Parks Room which is on the lower level of the Cesar Chavez Student Center.

Meetings begin at 1:00 with a business meeting which is followed by the program at approximately 1:15 p.m.  Following the presentation is a short social time.
