Pre-Show Panel Talk - Sarah Ruhl's play "In The Next Room"

Sunday, October 16, 2016 - 13:00 to 15:45

Join a distinguished panel of faculty and students to discuss Ruhl's comedic play and the issues that lie underneath the laughter: the subjugation of women, racism and classism in a Preshow Talk about the production - Sarah Ruhl's play "In The Next Room"...(or the vibrator play).

The panel will discuss "Completing the Portrait".  Sexuality is referred to in the play as "only two-thirds complete" acknowledging that men's and women's understanding of their own and each other's sexuality was limited and guided by mostly scientific terms in the Victorian age, the predominant idea in the play.  We hope you'll join us. Admission is free. Please use our promo code: OLLI Promo code for tickets: OLLIITNM16
