SF Adventures - The Beach Chalet and Outside Lands

Meet in lobby of Beach Chalet, which is on the west side of Golden Park facing the Great Highway (between Fulton St. & Lincoln Way) Accessible via the number 31, 5 busses from downtown, and the 18 from the sunset. Long-time walking tour docent/guide, Monika Trobits, will lead a tour of the Beach Chalet murals depicting San Francisco Life in the mid-1930s. This tour will include commentary about the building itself and the surrounding Outside Lands plus vintage photographs.  Optional lunch follows at the Park Chalet or Beach Chalet Restaurant and Brewery.

Public Transportation Routes:

The #18 – 46th Avenue stops very close to the Beach Chalet’s front entrance along the Great Highway.

The #5 – Fulton stops at La Playa and Fulton (near Safeway), just north of the Beach Chalet and across from Golden Gate Park.

The #31 – Balboa terminates at La Playa and Cabrillo, a block-and-a-half north of the Beach Chalet/Golden Gate Park.

The N-Judah terminates at La Playa, about two-and-a-half blocks south of Golden Gate Park and the Beach Chalet.
