Caring Community Interest Group - Aug 12, 1 pm Wed

Topic:

Spiritual Counseling in Hospice. Hospice services include nondenominational spiritual counseling. What is this? How does it work? Do people who have no specific religious affiliation benefit from it? James Christie, who works in spirit care with Kaiser Hospice, will join us for this discussion. James also works in the volunteer department at Kaiser Hospice and owuld be happy to speak with anyone interested in learning more about volunteering in hospice.

We as members of an aging community need support as we age. We are a support group: we share information, concerns, and resources, including our own issues and experiences with giving and needing help, and we help each other with difficult problems, choices, and plans. We talk about issues that are not easy to discuss elsewhere. We have a mission statement and charter for a community of OLLI members who commit ourselves to help each other in order to avoid institutionalization and isolation and facilitate aging in place. New members are welcome at any time.
