Caring Community Interest Group - July 8, 1 pm Wed

Wednesday, July 8, 2015 - 13:00

Topic: Hospice What it is, what it does for patients and families, how it works, and how to get it. Presenter: Sheila Clifford, social worker, Bereavement Counselor and Volunteer Coordinator for Kaiser Hospice Services. (Program on finding your ideal assisted living postponed to September)

We as members of an aging community need support as we age. We are a support group: we share information, concerns, and resources, including our own issues and experiences with giving and needing help, and we help each other with difficult problems, choices, and plans. We talk about issues that are not easy to discuss elsewhere. We have a mission statement and charter for a community of OLLI members who commit ourselves to help each other in order to avoid institutionalization and isolation and facilitate aging in place. New members are welcome at any time
