Created in 1980, SFO Museum was the first cultural institution of its kind located in an international airport. An ever-changing schedule of exhibitions on a diverse range of subjects provides an educational and cultural experience for more than 44 million passengers who use the Airport annually. The SFO Museum is the first museum in an airport to be accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is a widely imitated model for museums operating in public arenas. FREE.

11:10 am – 11:30 am       SFPD K9 unit (with a real dog)

11:30 am – 12:15 am       Aviation Museum

12:15 am – 12:30 pm       AirTrain ride

Location: 
SFO Museum, International Terminal - Departures, Level 3 (to the left if you are facing Boarding Area A)
Directions: 
Take BART to SFO Station. Exit and turn right. Walk all the way through the International Terminal to Boarding Area A. Turn left and museum will be on your right, just past the entrance to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. The Airport is also accessible via SamTrans 292 San Francisco – Hillsdale Mall bus to the SFO Courtyard A stop. Enter the International Terminal and take the escalator up two levels to Departures, Level 3. Turn left and walk past the Egyptian Revival exhibit and Boarding Area A. Museum will be on your right, just past the entrance to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. If you drive, park in the airport garage and follow signs to International Terminal Boarding Area A. Bring your Airport garage ticket with you for validation at the museum.
