Brown Bag Lecture: Your granddaughter’s future: what’s ahead for reproductive rights - A conversation with Fran Moreland Johns author of Perilous Times: An Inside Look at Abortion Before-and After-Roe v. Wade
Fran Moreland Johns' comments on abortion rights have appeared recently in The New York Times and New Yorker magazine. Perilous Times expands on the issue through true stories of women and men whose lives have been impacted by unplanned pregnancies, and comments from leaders in the field of reproductive rights.
Fran will be joined in conversation with two prominent women who will share their own unique perspectives on the issue of reproductive justice:
Lisa Lindelef, a San Francisco-based community activist, volunteer and philanthropist, is a licensed attorney and psychotherapist whose work includes extensive advocacy on behalf of women and children. Currently a member of the Board of Directors of NARAL Pro- Choice America Foundation, she recently completed nine years as a member of the NARAL Pro-Choice America Board of Directors, including two years as Vice-Chair.
Stephanie Long, MD, is a board certified Family Medicine Physician with advanced training in maternal, child and reproductive health. She completed her medical degree at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. In practice since 2012, she now works at a community health center in the Bay Area providing comprehensive primary care and reproductive health services including early abortion.
