Doug McConnell will take us on the “Backroads” of his 50-year career in television and with nature, history and environmental issues.
Doug is perhaps best known as the host of “Bay Area Backroads”, the longest-running television series in Bay Area broadcast history. Doug has been the creator, producer and host of many series, special programs, and news projects for local, national and international distribution. He has won multiple Emmys and the prestigious Harold Gilliam award for environmental reporting in Northern California. He can currently be seen Sunday evenings on NBC Bay Area on “OpenRoad with Doug McConnell” which he created, produces and hosts.
