Interest Group - OLLI Hikers: Mission Bay, Dogpatch, and the Blue Greenway

When: November 19, 2019 - 10:00am to 2:00pm

Mission Bay, Dogpatch, and the Blue Greenway

Walk Leader: Karen Rhodes

Start and Finish: Caltrain station, 4th and King Street. Meet at the corner of 4th and Townsend.

Difficulty: Total distance is 6.5 flat miles, with shortcut options. Mostly pavement, with some gravel paths. Carry water, snacks, and a brown-bag lunch. Dress appropriately (layers, hat, sturdy shoes, etc.). Heavy rain cancels.

Route: We'll explore Mission Bay, Dogpatch, and a stretch of the bayside Blue Greenway along the new Chase Center. These rapidly evolving neighborhoods have been developed with lots of pedestrian pathways, public open space, and street art. We'll also see traces of old San Francisco, including houseboat-lined Mission Creek.

There is no cost for participation in this group; but all participants must be OLLI members.
