Legacy (International) Film Festival on Aging
About the Legacy Film Festival on Aging
The 8th Annual Film Festival on Aging celebrates the aging process as profound and meaningful, often challenging, and always courageous. Will we ‘age gracefully’, or crankily, or painfully? Or defiantly? With humor?
Our filmmakers portray some of the many facets of this unique, ever-changing experience honestly and artfully and always with compassion and love for their subjects.
The board of directors, film festival researchers and screening panel are contacting filmmakers and reviewing current film submissions from all over the world, to bring you films that embrace our mission to educate, entertain, and inspire intergenerational audiences about the issues of aging.
I love the intimate and community feel of this festival, along with the huge range of cultures represented around this shared focus, which I find inspiring each and every year. Gwen Sanderson - Director, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at SF State
“The films in the Festival have always inspired me, moved me, cheered me, made me cheer for the people in the films and made me glad to be who I am.” JT, a viewer
