SF Adventures - Art at the Embarcadero Center tour 10:30am Monday, Feb 29

Monday, February 29, 2016 - 10:30 to 12:00

How many times have you walked around the four Embarcadero Center buildings and wondered about the fascinating pieces of public art on display there? In 1979 more than $1 million was spent on their purchase. OLLI member Karla Jones has researched the art and artists. During this 90-minute tour, she will share the history of the Embarcadero Center and information about each piece — the artist and when it was made. If time allows, she will also share the public art available as part of other nearby buildings. Optional no-host lunch follows tour.  Meet at 10:30 am at the Vaillencourt Fountain on the Embarcadero across the plaza from the Ferry Building.
